The museum is open every day from 10.00 - 17.00
Closed for christmas on the 24th, 25 and 31st of December.

Free luggage lockers
By the ticketoffice and in the basement of the Viking Ship Hall it is possible to storage luggage and bags in boxes. Deposit Kr. 10,-.

Wheelchairs, stroller and umbrellas
There is limited access to the Vikign Ship Hall for wheelchairs and strollers.
Visitors in wheelchairs gets free access to the museum.
It is possible to borrow a wheelchair, a stroller or a umbrella if needed. Ask at the information in the Viking Ship Hall or at the ticketoffice on the Museum Island.

Dogs
You can bring your dog to the museum, but only outdoor. Dogs are not allowed in the Viking Ship Hall.

Food and beverages
Snekken, the restaurant and café adjoining the museum, is open daily from 11.30. The restaurant is non-smoking. During summer, you are welcome to picnic on the Museum Island, where there also is a small non-smoking café. You can also bring your own food and eat it by the tables in the basement of the Viking Ship Hall.
