Cultural History of Denmark

This theme covers a selection of both the new and the old.

In 1999, 'The Fall of the King' was named the Danish novel of the century by the two newspapers Politiken and Berlingske Tidende. It has also been included in the cultural cannon of the Danish Ministry of Culture. Author Johannes V. Jensen was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1944.

Another less traditional contribution to the theme is the debate book 'Generation Fucked up?', where the public debaters Morten Albæk and Rasmus Hylleberg exchange e-mails about the young generation’s enthusiasm, self-awareness and contributions to society.
