On CNN’s website in november the whole world could read about how we were not planning a invasion when the Sea Stallion is reaching Dublin in 2007.

At the same time, on a forum for crew members only, a crew member from the Sea Stallion commented:

”What do they know about that?!”

Whether or not it comes to war in Dublin, the Irish appreciate knowing the arrival of the Vikings before hand this time – a cabdriver from Dublin assures the project leader from the Viking Ship museum, Preben Rather Sørensen. The Vikings were not that generous a thousand years ago, when long ships were sailing towards Ireland.

The warship on the internet.

The newsletter from CNN also said that the purpose of sailing the 1.700 km to Ireland is to learn more about Viking sailing.

”But we are not dressed as Vikings, when sailing” says curator at the Viking Ship Museum Martin Brandt Djubdræt

Furthermore visitors at CNN’s website can read that the ship will have modern navigation- and safety equipment on board. And that people on a daily basis can log on to the Sea Stallions website and read stories from the crew members – and precise details on the ships position, course and speed.

In other words: The most clumsy surprise attack ever in maritime war history.
