Thursday 18 July 2024, day 18 of the Skjoldungen voyage.

We set off from Nyborg at 8:37. Went out for oars and set sail at 9:05. Crossed towards Danelykke, turned and headed towards Lundeborg. Arrived at 13:20.

Preben had contact with the chairman and lady of the Lundeborg Sailing Association. Without hesitation, they lent us their clubhouse so we had a place to spend the night. Very generous and friendly people.

We sorted out the ship, organised and got an overview of the provisions and there was also time to repair the Dannebrogen and Ravnebanner, which we carry.

Many interested people came to look at the ship, and small children were allowed to come on board with their parents. It was a nice and wonderful experience.

Along the way, we talked about all the wonderful and generous people we meet everywhere, who without hesitation jump in and help where they can. It's an amazing network all over the country. We have a big debt to honour.

We had a lovely dinner and slept outside in the beautiful summer night, under the canopy of the clubhouse.
