Sunday 7 July 2024, the first day of Ottar's voyage.

We're off on the Ottar Summer Voyage 2024. 2 weeks of crew training are planned in the Kattegat - handling the ship, life on board, night sailing and etc... whether it will be Aarhus, Grenå, Skagen, Anholt - that depends on wind and weather.

On the first sailing day, we reached Hundested. After a few hours in the outer banks of Roskilde Fjord with a lot of veering and tacking and beating, we waited for the front with some rain and wind to pass before we headed north to sail through the fjord. We entered Hundested at a beautiful sunset over the Kattegat.

The preliminary plan is to stay here today and head out into the Kattegat tomorrow.
