Tailwind on the trip back to Zealand

The crew set up the tent at the raised aft to relax in dry weather during the summer rain

Sunday 14 July 2024, the syventh day of Ottar's voyage.

After a rest day in Aarhus wooden ship harbour with a crew change, we headed back to Zealand yesterday: some cross legs to get past Sletterhage, a rope in the sail and a good sail towards Sjællands Rev, tailwind and tail current through Snekkeløbet and then two good cross legs into Odden Harbour. After a quick effort to put the tarpaulin on the sail and set up the tent at the raised aft, we were able to enjoy dinner in dry weather while it rained. Now we are sheltered in the harbour, waiting for the wind to die down before we sail on towards the fjord.
