Arsuk - the meaning of the name can be translated to "the beloved place" - is a small settlement with 144 inhabitants who greeted the ship and crew warmly welcome and offered a place to set up the tents.
After a couple of days docking in natural harbors it is almost a luxurious feeling for the crew to arrive in a township with the possibility of filling up the supplies, charge the ship's batteries and get a mobile phone connection. The skipper of the ship is in contact with the Vikingship Museeum every day, but also at home at the museeum it is appreciated with a proper connection as a satellite-connection can be a quite noisy experience.
Skjoldungen will stay in Arsuk for a couple of days as the forecasted weather is rough.
