The Hune Stone

One of Vendsyssels largest rune stones can be seen in the porch of Hune Church, 2km east of Blokhus. The text shows that the Vikings were given names describing their abilities. In this case "Runulv" was shrewd and quick to come up with Solutions: “Hove, Thorkil, Thorbjørn raised this stone for their father Runulv the Shrewd”. The stone from the late Viking Age may have been on the Ancient Road from Hune to Jetsmark.
