Due to the Corona-virus situation the Library and Archives is temporarily closed (so far until September 13, 2021).
The library at the Viking Ship Museum holds a large collection of books and journals on maritime archaeology and history.
The library at the Viking Ship Museum is a reference library, only. Books may not be taken out of the library. Everyone is welcome to visit and use the library on weekdays 10 am-3 pm. Library guests are asked to contact curator Morten Ravn before visiting the library:

NaSk: Library of Maritime Archaeology of the National Museum
Both the ViSk and NaSk books and journals are property of the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde.

The Maritime Archive
The archives holds the files of the underwater archeological investigations conducted until 2004. From 2004 it is only the files of the underwater archeological investigations conducted within the Viking Ship Museums archeological area of responsibility that are archived.
