One crew member has an accumulation of pus between two toes. Small incision made with a scalpel to remove inflammation. Treatment with antibiotic ointment and bandage. Daily bath in soapy water.

A young girl is having trouble with a wisdom tooth, which has been troublesome before. Now fever, pains in jaw and neck. Now the cheek is swelling, red and sore. Contact with a doctor in Denmark who prescribes two different kinds of antibiotics. We only have one of those on board. Impossible to get the other kind of medicine without seeing a dentist first. We learn that the only dentist on the island is on holiday, but the reserve is arriving tomorrow. We get an appointment. Meanwhile we find an alternative antibiotic, which we do have on board, after consulting Radio Medical.
