Portsmouth harbour

Sunshine!

9.00 Breakfast
9.45 Skipper’s briefing:

We sail from here tomorrow at 13.00, two hours before the tide changes to get a favourable current out of the harbour.
“We are sailing around midday and only in sunshine ".

Tasks of the day:
Cover the strap for the stay, so stay needle doesn’t chafe the rope.
Check the pumps.
The ship must be gone over under the deck planking to check for leaks.
The rudder tackle must be replaced.
Cooking pot and kitchen box to be lashed down, so they don’t move in heavy sea.

Aftership section has the anchor watch.

18.00 Evening meal.
