9.45 Skipper’s briefing:
We are staying in Lowestoft over the weekend. In the North Sea there are gale-force winds from the north-west, which won’t drop before Monday.
We are keeping a constant eye on the weather forecasts and at the moment expect to leave on Tuesday.
16 new crew are coming this evening.
We will all gather together when they arrive.
18.00 Evening meal
21.00 approx. The whole crew gathers. A farewell to those who are signing off and a welcome to those who are signing on. Films from the voyage are shown.
The day’s tasks:
The halyard blocks are to be inspected and greased.
1 new toilet seat to be bought.
The crew can spend the day for their own purposes.
Midships has the anchor and tent watch.
