Stories for children
If you fancy a quiet moment with a good story, take a seat in the storytelling tent and hear the exciting tales about the fantastic ships from Nordic mythology.
Hear about Frej's fantastic ship 'Skibladner', that always had the wind from behind and could be folded to fit in the palm of your hand.
In addition to the fascinating stories about the ships of the gods, you can also hear about the norns Urd, Verdande and Skuld.
The Vikings believed in norns, who were goddesses that ruled over a person's life. When a child was born, the norns determined the child's fate on a weave called a norn thread. In The Völva's Divination, there are three norns that come from Urd's well by Yggdrasil: Urd, Verdande and Skuld, whose names mean ‘ the former’, ‘the being’ and ‘the coming’.
Take a seat in the large, cosy story tent and listen to the exciting tales of the Norse gods and their ships.
