Ottar sails wherever the wind takes them
From 6 July to 21 July
This year Ottar is sailing in Denmark to train sailing outside the fjord.
The crew will test and train what it's like to be on board the ship and how to handle the ship. The crew aims to have one multi-day sailing trip in each of the weeks they are away.
The volunteers in the boat guild are also planning to practice nature navigation. This is a form of navigation where you put away the modern GPS systems and try to orientate yourself by wind, clouds, waves, current, sun and the presence of birds to find your way.
